Since suffering a surprising 4-1 Champions League beatdown at the hands of Newcastle, PSG has been on a hot streak. They've won 4 straight, scoring 3 goals in each match. They are currently second in the Ligue 1 table, just one point behind leader Nice. Montpellier are in the middle of the pack in Ligue 1 competition, but they are coming off an impressive 3-0 victory vs. Toulouse. Montpellier typically deploys a 4-2-3-1 formation and PSG has favored the 4-3-3 as of late.
In my eyes, Montpellier simply do not have the firepower to keep up with PSG in this match. PSG's attack, headlined by Kylian Mbappe, will overwhelm the opposition. Also, expect the PSG defense to continue their streak of sharp play. I believe PSG will win by 2+ goals, which they've accomplished in each of the last 8 Ligue 1 meetings between these two clubs. I'll take PSG in this one. I considered Mbappe to score, but the odds are pretty ridiculous on that. I see a 3-0 win for PSG, with Mbappe putting the ball in the net.
