Chiefs vs. Dolphins Prediction

These two 6-2 AFC teams will both be contenders for the Super Bowl. I like Miami in this matchup because they are getting huge contributors back from injury today: LT Terron Armstead and CB Xavien Howard. Also, they had the better travel plans to prepare for the adjustment to playing overseas. They traveled early, while the Chiefs waited until late in the week to make their voyage to Germany. My criticism of the Dolphins essentially through the entire Tua era has been that they beat up on bad teams and never rise to the occasion against the league's best teams. I think today is their opportunity for them to end that narrative and get a huge win. With the return of Armstead, I see Tua having a little extra time to deliver the ball downfield for explosive plays to Jaylen Waddle and Tyreek Hill. The Miami defense will be keyed in on Travis Kelce, so I believe Kansas City will depend on rookie Rashee Rice to keep the ball moving. Rice has recorded 3 or more receptions in each of his past 6 games and continues to earn targets and Patrick Mahomes' trust. I predict Miami will win a 26-20 ballgame.

Official Picks:

Dolphins Outright Win (-105)

Rashee Rice Over 3.5 Receptions (-160)
