Black Friday Sports Predictions

NFL

Jets vs. Dolphins

Pick: Dolphins -9.5

Tim Boyle probably signed with the Jets expecting to watch game film and play golf with Aaron Rodgers. Suddenly, he is going to have contend with a Vic Fangio defense that's held its last three opponents to under 17 points (the Chiefs scored a defensive TD) and keep up with a Miami offense with the highest big play capability in football. This guy has thrown twice as many interceptions as touchdowns in his NFL career. As we saw at the end of the loss to Buffalo last week, the Jets players are pissed off with how this season has gone. I think coach Robert Saleh, along with his staff, is losing credibility in the locker room and the guys are close to giving up even before Rodgers' potential return. I see this as an easy Miami victory. I predict a 30-13 Dolphins win.

NBA

Warriors vs. Spurs

Pick: Victor Wembanyama Over 31.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists

Golden State is still without Draymond Green, so they're relying on Dario Saric, Kevon Looney, and Jonathan Kuminga to hold down the fort against opposing big men. As you'd expect, it hasn't worked great. In recent games, the Warriors have been cooked by Chet Holmgren and Alperen Sengun. I think Wemby, who is coming off possibly his best game (22 pts, 15 reb, 3 assists, 3 blocks in a loss to the Clippers) will have similar success tonight.

Pacers vs. Pistons

Pick: Pistons +7.5

The Pistons are a miserable 2-13, they're on the road, and they've lost 12 straight games. Why am I picking them? Well, for one, the Pacers have been poor on defense all year long. They also may be missing their star point guard Tyrese Haliburton in this game. Despite the results, I have to say I like what the Pistons have for the future. Cade Cunningham looks like a legit building block. Ausar Thompson is affecting games positively in multiple ways. Jaden Ivey is now back from injury. They've played tough and had close losses against playoff level teams like Philly, the Bucks, Nuggets, Cavs, and Hawks. I think Detroit will surprise some people today and at minimum play Indiana to a close game.

Ligue 1 (France)

PSG vs. Monaco

Pick: PSG to win by 2+ Goals

This is an exciting matchup of the two top scoring Ligue One clubs. I give PSG the edge here because they're at home, where their defense has been in excellent form. They've conceded just 2 goals in their last five home matches. Monaco has struggled to score WY from home, and I expect that to continue in this match. I'm predicting a 2-0 win for PSG.
